As our first ever blog post we thought we'd give you a sneaky peek at what we've been up to this week here at The Oast Studio.
On Thursday we had a lovely day making The Oast Shoulder Bag.
This was followed by a Fabulous Fox Frenzy
Next up was a morning of Beginner's Sewing where we started form the very beginning and learnt all about how to use sewing machines. We took them apart, cleaned them up, and put them back together again. We replaced needles and wound on bobbins until it was no longer scary and then we finished the class by making some little coin purses to take home.
Meanwhile in the Felting Room, a Parliament of Owls was being prepared for flight. Wise and feeling at home in the our beamed barn studio, they brought an element of calm to the day. Our youngest member of parliament was made by Euan - age just 12. Well done everyone.
And downstairs we had a load of basket cases! Led by the lovely Nick, this lot made the most beautiful baskets - perfect for filling with freshly baked croissants on Sunday morning.
