This Week In The Studio

There’s something rather lovely about a week at The Oast Studio. One day you’re sitting around the table preparing and sharing a delicious homemade lunch, the next you’re finally making friends with a crochet hook after years of wondering how on earth it all works.
We’ve also seen eight normal gentleman’s shirts transformed into beautiful frilled blouses (a 'frilling' and dramatic improvement, we all agreed), and we finished the week by welcoming seven new stitchers as they threaded their machines, stitched their first seams and discovered that sewing is much easier when someone is there to help.
It’s been another week of good company, plenty of making and lots of reasons to put the kettle on, take a look at what we've been up to below.

FELTED & BEADED NECKLACE
Thursday 20th August
9am - 1:30pm
Design and make a unique felted and beaded necklace, combining soft wool with beautiful glass beads for a wearable piece of art. A meditative, creative process that results in a real show-stopper.
SEVEN SISTERS - FELTING
Saturday 29th August
9am - 1:30pm
Capture the beauty of the iconic Seven Sisters cliffs in wool as you discover the relaxing art of needle felting. Perfect for beginners, you'll leave with a stunning framed artwork ready to brighten your home.
