MINIATURE SUMMER TRIO
Learn to needle felt three beautiful small landscapes in this perfect workshop for beginners and intermediate level makers. You'll layer soft wool fibres onto pre-felt canvas, 'painting' with colour much as you would with watercolour - adding, removing, and blending to create depth, perspective, light and shadow. Images of landscapes will be provided as inspiration, and you'll be guided every step of the way as you gradually needle felt the layers, adding summer flowers and bees in the foreground to enhance your scene. The soft, cloudy quality of the fibres creates a diffused, impressionist-like image. Each finished piece will be framed and ready to hang on your wall or gift to someone special!

THIS CLASS IS PERFECT IF YOU
Love landscapes and impressionist painting but want to work with wool instead of paint. Are new to needle felting or have some experience. Would like to create three beautiful pieces to display or gift. Enjoy the meditative process of layering colour and building up detail.

Three beautiful miniature needle-felted landscapes, each framed in its own shadow box with glass - ready to hang on your wall or gift to someone special.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
How to layer soft wool fibres onto pre-felt canvas. Techniques for creating depth, perspective, light and shadow with wool. How to 'paint' with colour - adding and removing fibres without damage. How to add fine details like flowers and bees to enhance your landscape. How to frame your finished pieces professionally.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
All materials needed. Three small shadow box frames with glass and felt canvas. Teas, coffees and delicious freshly baked cakes from The Oast Bakery throughout.
PLEASE NOTE
This is a needle felting workshop - no wet felting involved. Landscape images will be provided as inspiration to work from.
