THIS CLASS IS PERFECT IF YOU
You love the idea of needle felting but aren't sure where to start. You're drawn to landscapes and would like to capture the feeling of spring in a new and tactile medium. You enjoy a calm, meditative creative process with beautiful results.
WHAT YOU'LL MAKE
Three miniature spring landscapes, each needle felted onto a pre-felt canvas and finished with delicate floral and foreground details. All three are framed in glass-fronted shadow boxes during the workshop - ready to hang as a set or give as handmade gifts.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
How to lay dry wool fibres in soft layers, just as you would build up washes in a watercolour. How to develop depth, perspective, light and shadow within a small landscape. How to add spring details - flowers, foliage and gentle foreground elements - to bring each scene to life. Cecily Kate will guide you every step of the way.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
All materials needed, three shadow box frames with glass, felt canvas, and teas, coffees and freshly baked Oast Bakery cakes throughout the morning.
