With Summer slowly unfolding and pollination underway it’s time to celebrate the beauty of Butterflies.
Come and activate your inner Lepidopterist and learn how to needle felt some exquisite British specimens using natural wool fibre. You will learn how to use your butterflies for ‘visible’ mending jumpers (especially useful for moth eaten cashmere) or mount them in a wooden frame, ready for your wall.
During this workshop you will learn:
How to make a number of butterflies
How to pin and mark out a butterfly drawing
How to create subtle layered colour effects with your wool and needles
How to mount your butterflies into a wool backing
