Learn the therapeutic art of 'painting' with wool as you create your own needle felted artwork of the iconic Sussex landmark, Ditchling Beacon Dew Pond.
This magical process allows you to build up layers of loose wool fibres onto your pre felt canvas, just as you would layer watercolours on paper. The beauty of working with fibre is that you can easily add and remove elements without damaging your work, while the soft cloudy quality creates a beautifully diffused image reminiscent of an impressionist painting.
Cecily will guide you every step of the way, from selecting your colours to creating depth, perspective, light and shadow. You'll gradually needle felt the layers down as you build up your landscape, adding final foreground details to enhance your scene.
Your finished artwork will be framed during the workshop, ready to take home and hang on your wall or gift to someone special.
