One 45cm x 45cm cushion pad
All other materials needed

A delicious home-made lunch
Learn some essential sewing skills as we explore the art of cushion making.
You will learn:
How to set up your sewing machine - and some trouble shooting
How to understand the different qualities of fabric
How to cut your fabric accurately
How to sew and finish seams neatly
How to insert a zip
Once you have learned the techniques to make your first cushion, if time allows you may have the opportunity to make a second cushion cover to hone your new skills.
If you would like to chose your own fabric, please bring half a metre for your cushion. A medium weight cotton or linen are easiest to work with and appropriate for this project. Please avoid velvet or any fabric with a nap.
You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, or use one of ours.
