CUSHION MAKING WORKSHOP - THE OAST STUDIO, EAST SUSSEX

Spend a creative day in the heart of the Ashdown Forest learning to make beautiful cushions you'll be proud to display at home. In our relaxed, supportive setting, you'll master essential sewing skills while enjoying homemade food and the company of fellow makers.

What you'll learn:
You'll discover how to set up and troubleshoot your sewing machine, understand different fabric qualities, cut accurately, sew and finish seams professionally, and insert a zip with confidence. Taking home all your instructions and all the skills and confidence to make more at home.
What's included:
Choose from our large selection of fabric remnants, or bring your own. Your day includes one 45cm x 45cm cushion pad and all other materials needed. Plus tea, coffee, freshly baked custard tarts on arrival, and a delicious homemade lunch from The Oast Bakery. You are welcome to use one of our machines or bring your own.
What to bring:
If you'd like to use your own fabric, bring half a metre of medium weight cotton or linen. Please avoid velvet or fabrics with a nap.
