CRÊPE PAPER SWEET PEAS - THE OAST STUDIO, EAST SUSSEX

Join us on this beautiful paper flower class and learn how to create a delicate Sweet Pea from start to finish. Perfect for those who have been on one of our previous crêpe paper workshops and wish to take their skills to the next level.

We’ll begin by shaping small buds, then gradually build the signature pea-shaped blossoms with their softly layered, frilled petals. Step by step, each part will come together into a complete stem, including leaves and the distinctive curling tendrils typical of the Sweet Pea.
During the class, we’ll focus closely on cutting and shaping small petals and buds with care and precision. We’ll also revisit techniques for dyeing crêpe paper, using paper dye pigments and pastels to achieve the subtle, natural tones of the Sweet Pea.
Teas, coffees and delicious freshly baked Oast Bakery cakes will be provided throughout. All materials are included and you'll take home a goodie bag of extra materials so you can continue creating and making more Sweet Peas at home.
This is a more advanced flower, suited to nimble fingers and previous experience in one of my crepe paper classes is recommended.
