AUTUMN FELTED LANDSCAPE with Cecily Kate

On this workshop you'll learn how to 'paint' with wool and create your own needle felted landscape. It's a wonderfully therapeutic process and perfect for beginners and intermediate level alike - no artistic experience required.
Images of landscapes will be provided as inspiration to work from. 'Painting' with wool is a magical process: fibres can be added and removed easily without damaging the landscape, and the soft, cloudy quality of the fibre creates a diffused image, reminiscent of an impressionist painting.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
How to lay out dry loose wool fibres in layers onto the pre-felt 'canvas', much as you would when building up layers for a watercolour landscape
How to make colour choices and create depth, perspective, light and shadow as you gradually needle felt the layers down
How to add the final details in the foreground to enhance your scene
You'll be guided every step of the way, and we'll frame your finished piece so you can take it straight home to hang on your wall or give to someone special

Just yourself - everything is provided (bring reading glasses if you use them for close work)
