Tutor: Nick Vane Time: 9am — 1:30pm, over two consecutive mornings Level: Suitable for all, complete beginners welcome Class size: Maximum 4 - plenty of one-to-one guidance throughout THIS CLASS IS PERFECT IF YOU You'd like to learn basketry at a relaxed pace without the intensity of a full day. You want to master more technique and create a basket with a more intricate handle. You enjoy a craft you can continue at home and would love two mornings of calm and creativity. WHAT YOU'LL MAKE A beautiful round willow basket with an intricate handle, woven from scratch over two mornings using traditional methods. More ambitious than a single day class — and all the more satisfying for it. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN How to select and prepare willow. Safe use of basketry tools. How to pair the base, stake and weave the sides using a variety of traditional weave patterns. How to finish a neat border. How to attach a more complex handle. Cancellation Policy

If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
