Make the Oast Shoulder Bag Machine Sewing Workshop With Annabelle Davis Time: 10:00am – around 4:30pm Class size: Max. 7 students Level: Confident beginners & improvers Create a shoulder bag you’ll actually use Spend a relaxed day sewing and go home with a fully finished, practical shoulder bag, neatly constructed, fully lined, and sturdy enough for everyday use. The Oast Shoulder Bag is the perfect size for your daily essentials (a book, lip balm, and yes - a bar of chocolate!). With an adjustable strap and magnetic closure, it’s both functional and stylish, and much easier to sew than it looks. This machine sewing workshop is ideal if you’re ready to move beyond simple projects and want the satisfaction of completing a beautiful bag in one session. This class is for you if: You have basic sewing machine skills You’d like to build confidence with more structured sewing projects You want to leave with a finished bag you’ll be proud to use Not suitable for complete beginners to sewing machines. What you’ll learn During the workshop, Annabelle will guide you step-by-step through: Cutting fabric from a simple pattern Inserting and sewing a neat lining Adding an adjustable strap Attaching a magnetic closure You’ll pick up techniques you can reuse in future bag-making projects. What’s included Everything you need to complete your bag is provided: Main outer fabric for your bag (choice of 3 colours) Webbing for the strap All hardware (magnetic popper, strap sliders & D-rings) Use of our sewing machines (or bring your own if you prefer) Teas, coffee, delicious treats and lunch from The Oast Bakery Make it your own If you’d like to personalise your bag, bring ½ metre of light cotton fabric in a colour or print of your choice for the lining. Alternatively, you’re welcome to choose from our selection of cotton remnants on the day. Accessibility Please note that most courses are held upstairs. Cancellation Policy

If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
