THE OAST BEAR - A Needle Felting Class with Cecily Kate At The Oast Studio, Hartfield, East Sussex Discover the gentle, meditative craft of needle felting as you sculpt your very own teddy bear in the heart of the Ashdown Forest. In this hands on session, Cecily Kate will guide you step by step - from the first wrapped forms right through to the finishing touches that give your bear its character and charm. No experience is needed, and beginners are warmly welcome. You'll leave with a soft, characterful teddy bear that's entirely your own. THE DETAILS: Duration: 4.5 hours Suitable for: All levels, including complete beginners Class size: 7 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: Wrapping and shaping core wool into the body, head and limbs Building and securely joining the sculptural forms Felting the muzzle, ears and paws Adding facial details to bring warmth and expression to your bear Finishing the surface for a smooth, soft and cuddly result WHAT'S INCLUDED: All wool and materials Use of all needle felting tools, needles and mats Plentiful refreshments and home baked treats WHAT TO BRING: Nothing at all - everything you need is provided. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
