If you have any accessibility concerns, please let us know or check with us before booking. info@oaststudio.co.uk The time leading up to the Solstice is always very powerful so come lean into the rays of the Sun with an open heart and join us for this special Summer Solstice workshop where you will be taught how to ‘paint’ with wool and create this light-filled needle felted landscape of Stonehenge.  Working with the wonderfully uplifting energies of pure wool Cecily Kate will guide you every step the way!  It’s very therapeutic and perfect for beginners and intermediate level.   'Painting’ with wool is a magical process - fibres can be easily added and removed without damaging the landscape. The soft cloudy quality of the fibre creates a diffused image, reminiscent of an impressionist painting. You will learn how to lay out the dry loose wool fibres in layers onto a felt ‘canvas', much as you would when painting layers on paper for a water colour landscape painting. The colour palette of wool provided will help you create depth, perspective, light and shadow as you gradually needle felt the fibres down while building up your landscape, adding final details in the foreground to further enhance this stunning scene. We will frame the finished piece so you can take it straight home an hang it on your wall or gift to someone special. Please note, this is a needle felting workshop - no wet felting involved. Each workshop includes: Needles, various needle tools, Wool felting pad Felt Wool & Silk fibre Landscape picture Wooden Picture Frame with glass Fresh organic coffee, tea and home made delicious cake AND a special afternoon high tea!
