With: Cecily Kate Time: 9am - 1:30pm Suitable for: Beginners and improvers Class Size: 7 What's included: All materials needed Freshly brewed organic coffee, tea and cake from the Oast Bakery Come enjoy a morning of artisan needle felting and make this iconic stand-alone Robin while you soak up the cosy creative space of The Oast Studio set within the rural atmosphere of the Ashdown Forest. Cecily Kate will guide you every step of the way so you can create your very own needle felted Robin that's ready to bring a touch of hope, joy and handcrafted magic throughout Christmas festivities and Winter months ahead. We strive to create an eco-friendly environment at the Oast Studio, choosing natural materials such as 100% wool fibres and felting pads in order to minimise our impact of the earth and reduce landfill. As an artisan crafter Cecily Kate shares her tips and tricks so you can create beautiful wool sculptures without using polystyrene core shapes, foam pads, plastic eyes, plastic clay or synthetic fibres. Suitable for all skill levels, even if you are a beginner. During this workshop you will learn… How to wrap and shape a core wool form How to blend wool colours, create layers and subtle feather effects with your wool and needles How to make a beak How to create a twinkly eye using only wool How to wrap legs Accessibility: Please note that most courses are held upstairs. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
