With: Helen Wallace Time: 9:30am - 1:30pm Suitable for: All What's included: All materials needed Teas, coffee and homemade cakes from The Oast Bakery Join Helen for a fun workshop exploring Modern Calligraphy using dip pen and ink. Modern calligraphy isn't just a creative skill, it's a mindful, rewarding art form that anyone can learn. We will begin with the basics—perfecting fluid and graceful strokes and shapes, under turns and crossbars, before progressing to the upper and lower case alphabet, learning about entry and exit lines, linking letters and constructing words. Following a short break Helen will demonstrate different techniques to create stunning effects and finishes to greeting card designs. To end the session we will look at creating 6 beautiful cards and several gift tags to impress your family and friends. Suitable for beginners or those looking for a refresh of the technique! If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
