Service Description
Create three small framed seascapes in one morning, using the therapeutic art of needle felting. Each piece is finished and framed during the workshop, so you go home with a ready-to-hang set - or three beautiful gifts. Tutor: Cecily Kate Time: 9:30am — 1:30pm Level: Suitable for all, including complete beginners Class size: 6-8 THIS CLASS IS PERFECT IF YOU You love the sea and would like to capture it in a new and unexpected medium. You'd like to try needle felting for the first time or develop skills you already have. You enjoy a creative morning that produces something genuinely beautiful to take home. WHAT YOU'LL MAKE Three miniature needle felted seascapes, each mounted in its own shadow box frame with glass - finished during the workshop and ready to hang as a set or give individually as gifts. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN How to "paint" with wool — laying dry loose fibres in layers, just as you would build up washes in a watercolour. How to create depth, perspective, light and shadow within a small seascape. How to build up and refine your image, adding and removing fibres freely without damaging your work. WHAT'S INCLUDED All materials needed, three shadow box frames with glass, felt canvas, and teas, coffees and freshly baked Oast Bakery cakes throughout the morning. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
