MINIATURE LANDSCAPE TRIO

Get to grips with needle felting and create three small framed landscapes

105 British pounds

Service Description

With: Cecily Kate Time: 9:30am - 1:30pm Suitable for: All Class Size: 6-8 What's included: All materials needed 3 small shadow box frames with glass Felt canvas Teas, coffees and delicious freshly baked cakes from The Oast Bakery On this workshop you will be taught how to needle felt three beautiful small landscapes. This is a perfect workshop for beginners and intermediate level.   Images of landscapes will be provided as inspiration to work from. You will learn how to lay out the dry loose wool fibres in layers onto the pre felt ‘canvas', much as you would when painting layers on paper for a water colour painting.   'Painting’ with wool is a magical process - fibres can be easily be added and removed without damaging the landscape. The soft cloudy quality of the fibre creates a diffused image, reminiscent of an impressionist painting. You will be guided every step of the way from colour choices to helping you create depth and perspective and light and shadow as you gradually needle felt the layers down while building up your landscape, with the final details of summer flowers and bees in the foreground to further enhance your scene. We will frame the finished pieces so you can take the set straight home and hang it on your wall or gift each one to someone special. Please note, this is a needle felting workshop - no wet felting involved. Accessibility: most courses are held upstairs. If you have any accessibility concerns, please let us know or check with us before booking. info@oaststudio.co.uk
