MAKE A TOTE BAG: MACHINE SEWING CLASS - THE OAST STUDIO, EAST SUSSEX With: Annabelle Davis Spend a creative morning with us learning to sew a beautiful, fully lined tote bag you'll be proud to carry everywhere! Duration: 4hrs Suitable for: All Class size: 8 Whether you're new to sewing or looking to build your skills, this hands-on workshop will guide you through every step of creating a practical and stylish tote. You'll leave with a fabulous finished bag and the confidence to tackle your next sewing project. We will provide all the materials needed and Alison from The Oast Bakery will keep you going with teas, coffees and freshly baked treats. What You'll Learn: During the workshop, you'll master setting up and using a sewing machine, choosing fabrics and understanding their qualities, professional seam finishing techniques, adding pockets and installing a smooth lining, and attaching handles that will stand the test of time. What To Bring: If you'd like to personalise your tote, please bring half a metre each of main fabric (medium-weight cotton or linen) and lining fabric (lightweight cotton). If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
