Synonymous with hazy summer days spent beside shimmering streams and shallow pools the Kingfisher is part of our English heritage. Come and learn how to needle felt and celebrate the royal colours of this beautiful bird while they are most active, tirelessly catching food for their half dozen young who eat 12-18 fish a day during the months of May and June! During this workshop you will learn: How to make a naturalistic Kingfisher with vibrant colours How to wrap and shape core wool forms How to create subtle colour feather effects How to make the beak How to wrap the Kingfisher’s wire legs and insert into a wooden base Please feel free to bring along a small dry perching branch to display your kingfisher on. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
