GREEN WOODPECKER NEEDLE FELTING with Cecily Kate At The Oast Studio, Hartfield, East Sussex With its striking red crown, the shy green woodpecker is often spotted climbing tree trunks or probing the ground for ants. You’ll learn how to needle felt this beautiful bird, gain a new appreciation for its markings, and take home your very own woodpecker. THE DETAILS: Duration: 7.5 hours Suitable for: Beginners and improvers Class size: 6 WHAT YOU’LL LEARN: How to wrap wool How to create a core shape for the body and head How to create symmetrically patterned wings and tail feathers How to work from reference material and follow a template How to bring the eyes to life using wool alone (no glass eyes) How to mount your woodpecker on a branch WHAT’S INCLUDED: All materials Plentiful refreshments and home baked treats, with freshly brewed tea and coffee A delicious home cooked lunch WHAT TO BRING: Just yourself. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
