Many of our Oast needle felting community have been asking Cecily Kate to bring this iconic British bird to life so without delay she has drummed up a wonderful woodpecker workshop to teach you how to needle felt this beautiful bird so you can better appreciate its magnificence and take home your very own creation! What you will learn: How to wrap wool How to create a core shape for the body and head How to create symmetrically patterned wings and tail feathers How to observe reference material and follow a template How to bring the eyes to life using wool alone (no glass eyes) How to mount you woodpecker on a branch Accessibility: Please note that most courses are held upstairs. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
