With: Cecily Kate Time: 9:30am - 1:30pm Suitable for: Beginners & Improvers Class Size: 7 What's included: - All materials needed (plus a frame to display your finished piece.) - Teas, coffees and freshly baked Oast Bakery treats Relax, unwind, and create… In this Felted Winter Landscape workshop, Cecily Kate will guide you through the magical process of ‘painting with wool’ to create a beautiful seasonal design. Therapeutic and relaxing, this technique is perfect for both beginners and those with some experience, no artistic background required! You’ll learn how to layer loose wool fibres onto a pre-felt ‘canvas,’ just as you would build up a watercolour painting. Cecily Kate will help you choose and blend colours, create depth, perspective, light and shadow, and finally add foreground details to bring your landscape to life. The soft, cloudy texture of the wool produces a diffused image, reminiscent of an impressionist painting. Fibres can be added or removed with ease, allowing your piece to evolve naturally. At the end of the session, your work will be framed and ready to hang at home or gift to someone special. Cecily Kate has designed a series of seasonal woolly paintings that capture the changing moods of the UK landscape; each stands beautifully on its own, or can be collected as a set. She is releasing new landscapes every season so keep an eye out! Please note: this is a needle felting workshop only—no wet felting involved. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
