Felted Lampshade Workshop
There's something quietly extraordinary about making something functional as well as beautiful. Over two consecutive mornings in our Hartfield studio, you'll learn the ancient crafts of wet and needle felting to create a lampshade that is entirely, uniquely yours - designed by you, made by hand, and ready to bring warmth and character to your home.
Working with soft merino wool and natural fibres, day one introduces you to the meditative art of wet felting, where water, soap and a little patience transform loose wool into smooth, seamless felt with a beautiful organic edge. On day two you'll move into needle felting, adding decorative details, texture and pattern before shaping and assembling your creation onto its frame.
No experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands a little damp.
