With: Cecily Kate Suitable For: All levels Class size: 6-8 Whats included: All materials needed Refreshments and cakes from The Oast Bakery With Summer slowly unfolding and pollination underway it’s time to celebrate the beauty of Butterflies. Come and activate your inner Lepidopterist and learn how to needle felt some exquisite British specimens using natural wool fibre. You will learn how to use your butterflies for ‘visible’ mending jumpers (especially useful for moth eaten cashmere) or mount them in a wooden frame, ready for your wall. During this workshop you will learn: How to make a number of butterflies How to pin and mark out a butterfly drawing How to create subtle layered colour effects with your wool and needles How to mount your butterflies into a wool backing Accessibility: Please note that most courses are held upstairs. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
