MUSHROOM NEEDLE FELTING With Cecily Kate At The Oast Studio, Hartfield, East Sussex An organic mushroom shape is a wonderful way to learn and explore the gentle art of needle felting. Cecily Kate has a real passion for felting mushrooms and has come up with fun, effective ways of wet felting and needle felting a whole variety of fungi. She'll provide a spectrum of fibres, from subtle greys and pinks to outlandish sulphur yellows and vibrant blues. This is a workshop for anyone who'd like to relax and enjoy some creative time, and it's especially suited as an introduction to needle felting. The organic forms of the mushroom are the perfect starting point for learning to sculpt with wool — from the cute little button form to a fully flared, curvy disc and stalk with frills. THE DETAILS: Time: 10am–1:30pm Suitable for: All Class size: 10 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: The basics of wet felting and needle felting, how to sculpt organic mushroom forms with wool, and how to blend and layer a spectrum of fibres for natural or wonderfully bold results. A lovely introduction to felting, whatever your experience. WHAT'S INCLUDED: Wool and all other materials, plus fresh coffee, tea and Alison's delicious freshly baked cakes. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
