With: Cecily Kate from Art Felt Fibres Time: 9:30am - 1:30pm Suitable for: All Class size: 8 - 10 What’s Included: All materials: natural wool, felting needles, needle tool, 100% wool pad, wool ball, and supplies for wet felting Teas, coffee and delicious festive treats from The Oast Bakery This festive project is perfect for beginners who want to create something delicate and beautiful without the challenge of wrapping limbs or intricate details. You’ll make an adorable Christmas mouse, gently napping in its own woollen nest. A gorgeous decoration that can be hung on the tree or displayed by the mantlepiece alongside stockings. Guided by Cecily Kate, you’ll learn both basic and intermediate felting techniques, from using needles and blending colours to sculpting, refining form, and even wet-felting the tail and nest. A joyful class for all abilities. During this workshop you will learn: How to form the core mouse shape - a great skill for needle felting other small creatures How to tightly wrap wool for the head How to wet felt around a small resist to create the nest and also wet felt a tail How to needle felt all the elements together Accessibility: Please note that most courses are held upstairs. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
