Spend a day learning to paint botanicals in watercolour — working from seasonal plants and flowers to create a finished study that captures their colour, texture and detail. Suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience looking to develop their technique. Tutor: Amber Halsall Time: 10am - 4:30pm Level: Beginners and improvers Class size: 8 THIS CLASS IS PERFECT IF YOU You've always wanted to try watercolour but aren't sure where to start. You love plants and flowers and would like to learn to paint them properly. You enjoy a focused, unhurried day with expert guidance and plenty of support. WHAT YOU'LL MAKE A finished botanical study or group of small studies in watercolour — accurate, detailed and ready to frame. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN How to mix and match watercolour to your subject accurately. How to layer and blend to create depth of colour. How to use dry brush techniques to create realistic texture and detail. Amber will demonstrate throughout the day with step by step instruction and one-to-one support so you can work at your own pace. WHAT'S INCLUDED All materials needed, a delicious two-course lunch, refreshments and home-baked treats throughout the day. Cancellation Policy
If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
