Spend a full day learning the timeless craft of willow weaving and go home with a beautiful round basket you've made entirely by hand. No experience needed — just a willingness to get your hands a little wet and learn something genuinely new. Tutor: Nick Vane Time: Full day, 8 hours Level: Suitable for all, complete beginners welcome Class size: 5 intentionally small for one-to-one tuition THIS CLASS IS PERFECT IF YOU You've always been curious about basketry and would love to try it properly. You enjoy learning a traditional craft with real heritage behind it. You'd like to come away with a skill you can continue at home. WHAT YOU'LL MAKE A beautiful round willow basket, made from scratch using traditional methods. Yours to take home at the end of the day. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN How to select and prepare willow. Safe use of basketry tools. How to pair the base, stake up the sides and work a variety of basic weaves. How to finish a border neatly. Cancellation Policy
If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
