ASHDOWN FOREST AUTUMN LANDSCAPE with Cecily Kate At The Oast Studio, Hartfield, East Sussex On this workshop you'll build on your first landscape and take your felting further, "painting" with wool to create your own needle felted view of Ashdown Forest in autumn. It's a wonderfully therapeutic process, and with over 30 gorgeous shades of fibre to work with, you'll have everything you need to capture the season's misty distances, russet bracken and soft golden light. Working from images for inspiration, you'll give real attention this time to distance, foreground and texture. "Painting" with wool is a magical process: fibres can be added and removed easily without damaging your landscape, and the soft, cloudy quality of the wool creates a diffused image, reminiscent of an impressionist painting. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
