9:30am - 1:30pm

With Annabelle Davis

Class size: 6

Suitable for: Beginners & improvers

Join us for a morning of sewing and learn how to make a really useful bag for sunny days.

During this workshop you will learn:

  • How to set up your sewing machine

  • How to understand the different qualities of fabric

  • How to sew and finish seams neatly

  • How to insert a lining and a pocket

  • How to add handles securely

What's included:

  • A large selection of fabric remnants

  • Webbing for the bag handles

  • All other materials needed

If you would like to bring you own fabric, you will need half a metre each of main fabric (a medium weight cotton or linen) and lining fabric (a light weight cotton). All other materials are provided.

Alison from The Oast Bakery will treat us to some of her delicious baking and plenty of teas and coffees to keep us going.

You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, or use one of ours.

"A really enjoyable afternoon, so many lovely fabrics to choose from. A big thank you to Annabelle for all her patience. Will definitely be returning to the Oast Studio".
