Treat yourself to a beautiful new kimono style dressing gown. This simple pattern can be made over a weekend and is delightfully comfortable to wear.
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
For sizes 8 - 14, please bring 3 metres of light dress weight cotton fabric of 140cm width.
For sizes 16 and above, please bring 4m of light dress weight cotton fabric of 140cm width.
It is a good idea to pre-wash your fabric before you come to avoid shrinkage after making your Kimono.
Please avoid slippery satin or silky fabrics.
Please note - If your fabric is narrower than 140cm, you will need an extra metre.

How to set up your sewing machine - and some trouble shooting
How to understand the different qualities of fabric
How to work from a pattern.
How to sew and finish seams neatly
How to make a waist tie

You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, or use one of ours.
