Come and enjoy an immersive day of artisan needle felting at The Oast Studio with Cecily Kate from Art Felt Fibres and take home this beautiful heirloom piece that will be admired for years to come.
Freshly prepared homemade lunch and delicious cakes made by Alison in the Oast Bakery will keep everyone nourished throughout the day.
During this workshop you will learn:
* How to wet felt a nest with speckled eggs and fashion simple blossoms, buds and leaves
* How to make and wrap the wire legs
* How to form the blue tit shape and wings - a great skill for needle felting other song birds
* How to needle felt layers of authentically coloured
wool so you can breathe life into your blue tit.
* How to bring all the elements together to create a
stunning piece that will inspire your creativity and
future needle felting ideas.
What's Included...
*A hand woven willow hoop, wool, felt, feathers
*Wire
*All other materials needed for the make, including
needles, needle felting tool, needle nose pliers, 100% wool pad, thread and glue
*All refreshments, delicious lunch and afternoon cake baked by Alison at the Oast Bakery
If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place.
Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
