CRÊPE PAPER PEONIES With: Nicoline Falmer-Nielsen At The Oast Studio, Hartfield, East Sussex Welcome to the Paper Peony Workshop! Learn to create beautiful peonies and take your paper flower-making skills to the next level. In this workshop, you'll start by mastering the intricate centre of the flower, then build it up to create both full and less full versions. By the end of the workshop, you'll have created two beautiful peonies and will have materials to take home to make more. Watch out - crêpe paper flower making is highly addictive! It's very relaxing and enormously satisfying when you see your flowers evolve. DETAILS: Time: 9:00am - 1:30pm Suitable for: All (particularly those with nimble fingers!) Class size: 8-10 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: How to make the intricate centre of the peony. How to build up and create both full and less full versions of the flower. How to work with pre-hand-dyed crêpe paper and use paint, markers, and pastels to add realistic highlights. How to layer large flowers with lots of petals. How to create authentic leaves. Techniques you can continue exploring at home with the materials you take home. WHAT TO BRING: Nothing - all materials are provided! WHAT'S INCLUDED: All materials to make 2 peonies plus extra to make more at home. Tea, coffee and homemade cakes. ACCESSIBILITY Most of our classes are held upstairs. If you’re unable to attend for any reason, please note that we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member — just let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively, once the course is fully booked, we can attempt to resell your spot through our database and social media. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.
