DRAWSTRING BAG MAKING
With Annabelle Davis from Sutura Sewing

Suitable for: Beginners and Improvers

These lovely drawstring bags are brilliant for so many jobs, and they are a great introduction to sewing.

An extra large drawstring bag can hang on the back of the bedroom door and hide all those socks and t-shirts waiting for the wash, or use it to keep your children's toys off the floor. Scale it down a bit and they are brilliant for keeping your suitcase organised when you go on holiday - one for phone chargers, one for your nickers, one to keep you washing together... they make finding things in your suitcase so much easier.

Or, since Christmas is not far off, why not use some festive fabrics and make excellent reusable gift bags?

During this workshop you will learn:
-
How to set up your sewing machine - and some trouble shooting
-
How to understand the different qualities of fabric
-
How to sew and finish seams neatly
-
How to add a drawstring channel

What's included:
-
A large selection of fabric remnants
-
All other materials needed
-
Teas, coffee and delicious treats from The Oast Bakery

If you would like to bring your own fabric, please choose a light to medium weight cotton or linen.

You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, or use one of ours.
"I had such a good day.
Thank you Annabelle for all your sewing expertise and guidance and Alison for the delicious food. It’s the equivalent of a day at a spa, soul nurturing, a day for oneself, creating something with your hands."
